Starting from the bare bones, focusing on proper FORM, establishing a strong understanding of basic firearms safety and handling. Emboldening good grip, aggressive vision, and recoil management.

After the mechanics are grasped, we strive to ensure our students not only take away great marksmanship, but the ability to critically think about how to improve their performance - inside & outside of the range. This is an ideology that heavily stems from practical shooting.
02Experience
What gives validation that an instructor/fighter/performer has street credit? It’s their experience. We want to help you build as much experience as possible by enabling an environment where the reps matter and practice is non-negotiable. We truly believe instructors must be able to demonstrate on demand so you can gain the most from of our training.

About FOA Solutions
Founded in 2026 by veteran martial arts instructor Huy Ha, FOA ("First of All") Solutions is a specialized training consultancy that bridges high-level competitive shooting fundamentals with the tactical needs of law enforcement and military personnel.
Founder Background: Huy brings over two decades of coaching experience. Between 2012 and 2022, his students consecutively secured Gold medals in the Chinese Martial Arts sparring circuit, culminating in a 2025 sweep where his team won Gold across every weight class at the ITFKA Sparring tournament.
Transition to Firearms: Introduced to competitive shooting by his in-laws in the sport, Huy competed into practical shooting leagues, actively competing in USPSA, Multigun, and PCSL.
Origin of FOA Solutions: As practical shooting metrics gained traction among defense agencies as the gold standard for pistol fundamentals, local LE and military professionals within Huy’s network sought him out for personal instruction, prompting the official launch of FOA Solutions to deliver structured competitive shooting and fundamentals training.

Each plan offers a different pace—but all are built to meet you where you are. Here’s sample of our most popular training courses:
For brand new gun owners wanting to build confidence in handling their firearm (4hrs). This class would be broken up into one online/in person lecture and one live range session.
IMPORTANT: If the bill SB 948 passes, this would require an applicant for a firearm safety certificate, on or after January 1, 2029, to complete within the prior year a training course no less than 4 hours in length that, among other things, includes instruction on firearm safety and handling and live-fire shooting exercises on a firing range. The bill would authorize the Department of Justice to promulgate regulations and provide additional information for the implementation of these provisions.
This class would fulfill that requirement.
The online lectures are usually held Wednesday and/or Friday nights. The live fire range sessions are either held on the First Saturday/Sunday or Third Sunday of the month. If either day does not work, we can book a private session. Once you’ve purchased the class, we will reach out to you about scheduling.
Classroom & Practice: Covers key concepts via online lecture.
Live-Fire Range: Features close, one-on-one instructor supervision at the firing line with real-time feedback to ensure safety and improve performance.
Train under certified instructors using a county-approved curriculum designed to prepare you for responsible concealed carry. Our goal is to equip you with essential defensive skills, from smooth holster draws and dynamic movement to sound decision-making in high-pressure encounters. This class is broken up into two online lectures and one live range session. Depending on your schedule, we can also arrange two separate range sessions.

Renewal CCW for CA residents
Re-qualify with your current and/or new EDC. You are expected to stay up to date in your training. We want to ensure that our students can carry confidently and perform on demand under pressure. This renewal course is broken up into one online lecture and one live range session.

You’ve been to range sessions at either a private range bay or BLM, but when scrolling through instagram you can’t quite get the bill drill these cool people are getting. This clinic is all about giving you the space to shoot faster and efficiently. We’ll have stations covering throttle control, distance control, and movement - followed with a mini stage. (3hrs)

Live-Fire Range: A well designed curriculum that enables students to get the most bang for their buck in their practice. The clinic covers exercises that competitive shooters do to build up their baselines. The goal is to help you as a shooter self diagnose correctly.
